We try to test our site on as many different browsers as possible, but if you are using a less well-known browser, you may find our site does not work as it should. Again please let us know about it.

Browser changes

Many browsers allow you to make changes to the way you view the page. Here are some simple changes you may be able to make. For improved visibility you may be able to increase the size and text, to use alternative fonts and alter the colour of text and background.

Microsoft Internet Explorer users

to alter the font size :

1. Go to 'View'
2. Choose 'Text size'
3. Select an appropriate font size, such as 'Larger'

to alter the font type :

1. Go to 'Tools'
2. Open the 'Internet Options' window
3. On the 'General' tab there are buttons for 'Colors', 'Fonts' and 'Accessibility'.
4. Click on the 'Accessibility' button and you will be able to make your browser ignore our choice of fonts, font colour, font sizes and suppress the background.

to alter the colours of links :

1. Go to 'Tools'
2. Open the 'Internet Options' window
3. On the 'General' tab there are buttons for 'Colors', 'Fonts' and 'Accessibility'.
4. Click on the 'Colors' button and clear the option to 'Use Windows colors'. You will be able to make your browser show links in whatever colours you choose.

Netscape users

to alter the font size :

1. Go to 'View'
2. Choose 'Text zoom' or 'Increase Font' (according to version) and select an appropriate level

to alter the font type :

1. Go to 'Edit'
2. Select 'Preferences','Appearance','Fonts'
3. Choose 'Use my default fonts, overriding document specified fonts'.
4. Specifiy your desired fonts

to alter the colours of links :

1. Go to 'Edit'
2. Select 'Preferences','Appearance'
3. Choose 'Always use my colors, overriding document'
4. Specify your desired colours

Mozilla users

1. Go to 'View',
2. Choose 'Text zoom' or 'Increase Font' (according to version) and select an appropriate level such as 'smaller' or 'larger' or choose a percentage of normal.

to alter the font type :

1. Go to 'Edit'
2. Select 'Preferences','Appearance','Fonts'
3. Choose the fonts you wish to use for 'Western' encloded documents
4. You can specify your desired fonts in extraordinary detail as required.

to alter the colours of links :

1. Go to 'Edit'
2. Select 'Preferences','Appearance','Colors'
3. Select the option 'use my chosen colors, ignoring the colors.....'
4. Specify your desired colours and click 'OK
